  • The first land airport in Helsinki was opened in 1938 in the district of Malmi and served to scheduled traffic until 1953 when it was wholly replaced by Vantaa airport. Nowadays it serves to the purpose of general aviation and border patrol. Measured by aircraft movements it is the second busiest airport in Finland. An observation deck is located on the rear side of the terminal.
