The last of this year´s five new Airbus planes for the Czech Airlines is going to land in Prague tomorrow. The D-AVWN A319-112 is now registered as OK-MEL. The remaining 4 of the 12 A319/320s ordered in October 2004 will be delivered at the beginning of 2008.

Czech operator VAN AIR Europe operates two L 410 (OK-RDA S/N 861813 and OK-UBA S/N 892319) on scheduled passenger routes out of Isle of Man Airport (EGNS/IOM) on behalf of a local company called Manx2.com. The routes lead to Belfast International (EGAA/BFS), Belfast City (EGAC/BHD) and Blackpool (EGNH/BLK). These two planes are the only L410s performing scheduled passenger transport in Europe.

The Boeing Company today announced that Travel Service, a Prague-based charter carrier, ordered one Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, and holds purchase rights for one more. The order is valued at $153 million at list prices. Travel Service already operates an all-Boeing fleet of 10 737s, including eight Next-Generation 737-800s. In 2006 Travel Service placed an order for two Next-Generation 737-900ERs.

The brand new Courtyard by Marriott Prague Airport hotel is opening in front of the passenger terminal on 1st April 2007. The hotel offers 235 rooms, very few of them in higher etage with a possible sight to landing aircraft to RWY 24 or RWY 31 direction on the oposite side. An Airbus 310-300 of CSA (OK-YAD) is fully ready for its one-year lease to Air India. The aircraft in modified c/s is going to depart to its new homebase on Saturday, 24.03. Czech Airbus will perform Air India flights between Bombay and Bangkok, Hong Kong, Delhi or Kuala Lumpur.
