Kazakh based SCAT Airlines announced today opening of service connecting the capitals of the Czech Republic (Prague) and Kazakhstan (Astana). The service is commencing on July 2nd, 2019 and their Boeing 737 will be flying twice weekly, every Thursday and Sunday. Tickets will be sold at www.scat.kz.
MoreRyanair announced a new route to Prague from Bordeaux to start from October 27th, 2019. A Boeing 737-800 leaves Bordeaux every Thursday and Sunday at 16:10 as FR 6563, lands in Prague at 18:30 to leave at 18:55 as FR 6564 and land back in Bordeaux at 21:15.

Prague airport authorities have opened a new elevated spotting platform north off RWY 06/24 today. The Knezeves platform formed one of the first steps on the way towards spotters and aviation enthusiasts back in 2012, when a temporary platform was erected, to be replaced by a fixed platform shortly afterwards. This platform needed to be demolished when the new perimeter road and lines were built in May 2018. A few months later, a new platform is available, further north from the runway, but almost twice so high. We wish great sightings to all enthusiasts. Letiště Londýn Gatwick zahájilo dnes ráno v 6 hod. místního času omezený provoz poté, kdy bylo letiště ochromeno po 32 hodin kvůli nezákonnému pohybu dronů uvnitř perimetru letiště. Nyní, v pátek večer, je letiště znovu uzavřeno, neboť v 17:10 místního času byla přijata zatím neověřená informace o pohybu dronu v blízkosti letiště. Policie v Sussexu toto hlášení nyní ověřuje. Policie a bezpečnostní složky zatím bezvýsledně pokračují v pátrání po pachateli nebo pachatelích. Krátce po uzavření letiště byly webové stránky Gatwick Airport nedostupné. Během dnešního dne předpokládalo letiště odbavit kolem 670 z celkového počtu 837 plánovaných letů, ale nyní se zdá, že cestující čekají další problémy a frustrace. Ti si navíc stěžují, že na letišti je zima a chaos. Je zřejmé, že letiště není schopno se s takovou mimořádnou situací vyrovnat. Řada cestujících uvázla také na dalších letištích v Británii i zahraničí, neboť jejich lety nejsou vypraveny nebo nemohou odletět na Gatwick ani jiná lond...

SunExpress of Turkey announced new regular service between Antalya and Prague. SunExpress' Boeing 737-800s will depart Antalya every Tuesday and Friday (from June 11th until September 29th, 2019) at 15:55 and fly to Prague as XQ320. Landing in Prague is scheduled for 18:05 and the plane departs at 18:40 as XQ321 to land in Antalya again at 22:35.
MoreRyanair announced that it will open a new two-weekly (Tu, Sa) service from Berlin to Brno, which will commence on 02.04.2019. The flights will add traffic to the Ryanair flights from Stansted and Bergamo, the latter was opened this winter again.

The FR8210/1 flights are offered between Prague and Bari (Mo+Fr, 07:00 Prague 08:55 Bari 09:20 Prague 11:15). Bari connection is offered already now, however there is a transfer at BGY. The second route, FR8242/3 is expected to connect Prague with Pescara (Mo: 13:25 PRG 15:05 Pescara 15:30 Pragie 17:10.
