The Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air will launch direct flights from Rome to Košice next spring. Rome will be the third destination from Košice that the carrier offers direct flights to. It also flies to London (Luton) and Bratislava. In Rome, the planes will land at the main Fiumicino airport.
The service will start on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Wizz Air will offer two flights a week, every Tuesday and Saturday.
Rome–Fiumicino is one of Wizz Air's backbone bases. In the winter 2025/2026 flight schedule, Wizz Air offers direct flights from the airport to 31 destinations in 21 countries. It has fourteen of its Airbus A320 series aircraft based at the base there
