This is a scan from a full-frame shot taken at IAT '87 shooting with a Pentax ME Super loaded with 400 ISO 35mm negative film. British Airways Concorde (208) G-BOAB in much happier days as sadly, she now sits very forlornly near the threshold of 27L at London-Heathrow.
Grumman EA-6B Prowler '504' of VAQ-136 'Gauntlets' unfolds its wings as it's readied for launch from one of the waist steam catapults of the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) whilst on operations off the north eastern coast of Australia on 18th July 2007.
McDonnell-Douglas DC9 series 32 YU-AJM of JAT Yugoslav Airlines on taxi to the runway at Manston Airport. Scan from a Kodachrome 64 slide taken using a Pentax SFXn SLR fitted with a manual focus Sigma 400mm prime lens.
Delta Air Lines Lockheed L-1011-500 TriStar N754DL heads back from London-Gatwick to Atlanta sometime during the summer of 1985. A scan from one of my negatives taken with a Pentax ME Super fitted with a Tamron 80-210 zoom lens.

This photo of the Patrouille Suisse displaying at the 2022 NATO Days was a winning photo in the event's annual photo competition. It has subsequently been used by the team in the 2023 display brochure at their request.
On a nice summer's day in 1984, a rather grubby looking Tupolev TU-154B-1 YR-TPE of Tarom Romanian Air Transport is being serviced between flights at Heathrow's Terminal 2.
Scan from a negative taken using a Pentax ME Super fitted with a Tamron 80-210 manual focus zoom lens.
Not necessarily the best airshow that I've attended but certainly the most memorable, was the Russian Air Force 100th Anniversary Show at Zhukovsky during August 2012. One of those memories was the only time that I've seen the mighty Antonov AN-22 'Cock' in the air. Equally memorable was the fantastic noise produced by its contra-rotating props.
A scan from one of my negatives of a General Dynamics F-111E Aardvark from the 20th TFW performing a fast pass at the USAF 'Open House' at RAF Wethersfield on 21st July 1984.
A long way from being one of my better photos as it was taken in pouring rain during the spring of 1984 from the terrace on the Queens Building at Heathrow. The negative hasn't worn too well over the years either. However, it's a DC-10 Series 30 of VARIG (Viação AÊrea RIo-Grandense) the former national airline of Brazil and the only time I ever saw one!
Back to the Farnborough Airshow in 2010 and probably the best 'Herc' display that I've seen. USAF C-130J-30 07-8614 that was 'borrowed' by Lockheed from the 86th Airlift Wing, leaps into the air to begin its impressive display on 25th July 2010.
A scan from one of my negatives of McDonnell-Douglas F-4E Phantom 68 0413 from the 512th TFS of the 86th TFW, launching to begin its display at the USAF 'Open House' at RAF Wethersfield on 21st July 1984.
The 6 Aero L-39C advanced trainers of the Slovakian Air Force White Albatross aerobatic display team during their performance at IAT 1993 at RAF Fairford. A scan from one of my slides taken using a Pentax SFXn fitted with a Sigma 400mm manual focus prime lens.

Ilyushin IL-62 OK-GBH of CSA is just lifting its nose wheel on rotation from 28L (as it was then) at London-Heathrow. Many people in the West incorrectly referred to the IL-62 as a 'VC10 Copy' but apart from the configuration, there is actually little commonality between the two designs.
Olympic Airways Boeing 737-4Y0 SX-BKL on lease from Malaysia Airlines makes a mid-morning approach to runway 08R at London-Gatwick on the 9th June 2006.
