Detail of outlet port of an engine Pratt & Whitney JT3D / TF33 B707-300, which was exposed during the "Tag der Bundeswehr". The aircraft is used here as a maintenance trainer for future mechanics of Boeing (Model B707-300) E-3A Sentry AWACS which flying to Ingolstadt for maintenance.
A modernized version of the F-84F Thunderflash differing extended and closed "nose" because of outbuildings 6 cameras.It was powered by a Wright J65-W3 and wore no weapons. The aircraft was manufactured in the number of 715 pieces.
Delivered to WGAF as EB+336, lately reregistered as EB+236, displayed at Oberstimm Kasserne as EA+236, transported to Erding at 08/2006 for restoration work, noted back at Oberstimm by 04/2009. Preserved at Ingolstadt-Manching air base aince 24.10.2013.
