This AN-32 of Xena Aircompany transited today from Karlovy Vary to Piešťany and from there to Trenčín, where it will undergo maintenance and modification into a firefighting aircraft. It used to serve with ATSA in Peru.
The second to arrive, this time from Trenčín to Piešťany, was overhauled AN-26 of Constanta Airline, registration UR-UZA, which after passport formalities continued on the way to Turkey.
Exchange of two AN-26 aircraft for overhaul took place today at Letecké opravovne Trenčín. Due to passport control flights were routed via airport Piešťany, while Trenčín is only non-public domestic airport. First arrived from Plovdiv AN-26 of Air Urga, registration UR-ELB, which used to operate for UN in Africa as remains of titles proove.
An airbridge with automotive parts takes place in these days between Piešťany and the Belgian airport Ostend. Besides aircraft operatedy by Vulkan Air, Fleet Air International, Cavok Air and RAF-Avia, this ATR-72F of Zimex Aviation, which still carries colours of ASL Airlines, also takes part on it.
The new Ukrainian operator Supernova Airlines flies in cooperation with RAF-Avia with their ATR-72F on the route Riga-Rzeszów for Ukrainian post. Between these flights it sometimes manages to perform some charter flights, as for example today with automotive cargo from Sweden to Piešťany.
