easyJet introduced the Prague - Lisbon route as a new one in the summer flight schedule in 2023. The year-round connection was a success and gained a firm position in the flight schedule. This has now been shaken, the last flight will take place on Wednesday, October 21.
The current schedule of easyJet destinations from Prague with direct flights in summer 2026 offers the following: Alicante, Amsterdam, Basel, Belfast, Birmingham, Bordeaux, Bristol, Edinburgh, Geneva, Glasgow, Lisbon, Liverpool, London (Gatwick and Luton), Lyon, Manchester, Milan (Malpensa), Nantes, Naples, Nice, Porto. The Balearic Islands are a very popular tourist destination. The largest island, Mallorca, is so popular among Czech people that regular flights to Palma de Mallorca airport operate year-round. During the summer flight schedule, Smartwings offers regular flights to the island of Menorca as well. Regular flights to Ibiza, an island known primarily for its attractive nightlife, have so far been missing from Prague. The German Eurowings has now filled the market gap.
The first regular flight departed on June 1. The Prague - Ibiza route will fly every Monday and the last flight will take place on September 28.
This summer season will be the weakest for Eurowings yet. The carrier has canceled routes to Heraklion, Valencia, Geneva and Barcelona.

On Saturday, May 23, a Boeing 737-800, registration TC-SOG (production number 61179, year of manufacture 2017), of SunExpress, made a ceremonial landing at Ostrava Airport at 2:02 p.m, arriving from Antalya, Turkey. The Turkish airline has included Leoš Janáček Airport on its map of regular destinations for the first time. The new Ostrava – Antalya route will operate twice a week, flying every Wednesday and Saturday.
The new route offers passengers a great alternative to Smartwings, which flies to Antalya four times a week, if we count only those flights for which it is possible to buy tickets on the airline's website. Should we also include charter flights for travel agencies, the number of flights of the Czech airline would be significantly higher.
SunExpress commercial flights are returning to Ostrava after 26 years. Charter flights of the Turkish carrier have been landing at Ostrava airport since 2000. And SunExpress aircraft themselves have been at home in Ostrava for the past f...

Last fall, the ČEDOK travel agency announced that its clients would be flying from regional airports in the Czech Republic with Air 001 as carrier. The turning point was the 2024 summer season, during which not even half of Smartwings charters departed on time. That carrier was ČEDOK's key carrier at the time. The Blue-Style agency first reached an agreement with the Ukrainian SkyLine Express and the Turkish MGA, later exchanging the Ukrainians for the Romanian HelloJets. Čedok has now started to rely on the Bulgarians.
Air 001 is a brand of the Bulgarian airline Electra Airways. During the summer season, it will serve more than 280 thousand transported clients. The Air 001 fleet has grown by three Airbus A320s (LZ-EAK, LZ-EAL and LZ-EAN) ahead of its strongest season. Two of them headed to new bases in the Czech Republic.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, an empty Airbus A320 with registration LZ-EAN (production number 3014, year of manufacture 2007) arrived from Varna to Brno. The first c...

On Monday, April 6, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 of Smartwings, registered OK-SWM, landed in Taipei, Taiwan. Taiwan is one of nine places that the 64 participants of the Round the World Tour will see in 26 days. They will also visit Barbados, Brazil - Amazonia, Chile, Bolivia, Easter Island, the Cook Islands, Australia, Palau, Taiwan, and originally Oman. Due to the escalation of the situation in the Persian Gulf, the last destination was changed and instead of Oman, the participants of the tour will stop in Thailand.
The first Round the World Tour was held in 2012 and has since become an integral part of each subsequent spring. In 2020, passengers were supposed to fly on Air X Charter's Airbus A340 instead of the Boeing 737, but the upcoming pandemic prevented their trip. The travel agency returned to its original carrier in 2023. The 2026 year is the third when Boeing 737 MAX is used.
