WizzAir and Prague Airport have announced new flights from Chisinau (Moldova) do Prague, starting on Dec 18th, 2019. An Airbus A320 will depart Chisinau as W6 6923 every Wednesday and Sunday at 18:35 local time, lands in Prague at 19:35 and leaves at 20:05 as W6 6924 to land back in Chisinau at 23:00 local time.
WizzAir also ads a new frequency from Kutaisi (Georgia) to Prague from Dec 19th, the W6 6421/2 flights will fly on Thursday, additionaly to current Tuesday and Saturday. The flight times from Prague to Kutaisi are 15 minut earlier than on the other days, flight departs Prague at 20:15 local time.

Rossiya will fly their A319s on three additional St. Petersburg-Prague flights weekly from May 24th till Sep 29th. The new FV 6623/4 flights will land in Prague at 19:40 and depart for te return flight at 20.40 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Kazakh based SCAT Airlines announced today opening of service connecting the capitals of the Czech Republic (Prague) and Kazakhstan (Astana). The service is commencing on July 2nd, 2019 and their Boeing 737 will be flying twice weekly, every Thursday and Sunday.

Ryanair announced a new route to Prague from Bordeaux to start from October 27th, 2019. A Boeing 737-800 leaves Bordeaux every Thursday and Sunday at 16:10 as FR 6563, lands in Prague at 18:30 to leave at 18:55 as FR 6564 and land back in Bordeaux at 21:15.

Ryanair announced a new route from Prague to Palma starting from June 4th, 2019. A Boeing 737-800 leaves Prague every Tuesday at 14:45 as FR 8300, lands in Palma at 17:25 to leave at 18:00 as FR 8301 and land back in Prague at 20:40.

Prague airport authorities have opened a new elevated spotting platform north off RWY 06/24 today. The Knezeves platform formed one of the first steps on the way towards spotters and aviation enthusiasts back in 2012, when a temporary platform was erected, to be replaced by a fixed platform shortly afterwards. This platform needed to be demolished when the new perimeter road and lines were built in May 2018.
A few months later, a new platform is available, further north from the runway, but almost twice so high. We wish great sightings to all enthusiasts. The photographs may also enjoy the other platform, south of the runway crossing, accessible from Hostivice. Letiště Londýn Gatwick zahájilo dnes ráno v 6 hod. místního času omezený provoz poté, kdy bylo letiště ochromeno po 32 hodin kvůli nezákonnému pohybu dronů uvnitř perimetru letiště. Nyní, v pátek večer, je letiště znovu uzavřeno, neboť v 17:10 místního času byla přijata zatím neověřená informace o pohybu dronu v blízkosti letiště. Policie v Sussexu toto hlášení nyní ověřuje. Policie a bezpečnostní složky zatím bezvýsledně pokračují v pátrání po pachateli nebo pachatelích.
Krátce po uzavření letiště byly webové stránky Gatwick Airport nedostupné. Během dnešního dne předpokládalo letiště odbavit kolem 670 z celkového počtu 837 plánovaných letů, ale nyní se zdá, že cestující čekají další problémy a frustrace. Ti si navíc stěžují, že na letišti je zima a chaos. Je zřejmé, že letiště není schopno se s takovou mimořádnou situací vyrovnat. Řada cestujících uvázla také na dalších letištích v Británii i zahraničí, neboť jejich lety nejsou vypraveny nebo nemohou odletět na Gatwick ani jiná lond...

SunExpress of Turkey announced new regular service between Antalya and Prague. SunExpress' Boeing 737-800s will depart Antalya every Tuesday and Friday (from June 11th until September 29th, 2019) at 15:55 and fly to Prague as XQ320. Landing in Prague is scheduled for 18:05 and the plane departs at 18:40 as XQ321 to land in Antalya again at 22:35.

Ryanair announced that it will open a new two-weekly (Tu, Sa) service from Berlin to Brno, which will commence on 02.04.2019. The flights will add traffic to the Ryanair flights from Stansted and Bergamo, the latter was opened this winter again.

CSA Czech Airlines will add their second widebody to the fleet. The Airbus A330-200 will be registered as OK-GBB, and has been leased from Air Transat for the winter season 2018/19.
The airplane (MSN 427, manufactured at 2001) started as G-OJMB for JMC Air Services charters (and leased e.g. to Garuda) and went to Thomas Cook UK together with JMC Air. It has been re-registered as C-GTSI for Air Transat at 2011. Travel Service Poland has ACMI-leased it for last winter and it returns this winter, with Czech crews and under Czech registration.
As the CSA spokesman Daniel Šabík confirmed to planes.cz, OK-GBB will fly from Warsaw from November 2018 until March 2019 and will serve long haul routes, e.g. Punta Cana, Zan...
