Idyllic morning scene on the Erebuni military airport in Yerevan. I badly wanted to catch this IL-76, but it landed the day before my arrival to Armenia. When a full day sitting next to RWY 03 theshold did not bring any success, I decided to search the terrain and found a sole block of flats right opposite the IL-76 stands. A secret mission onto its roof was successful and while the Russian soldier peacefully fed the dogs, I secretly photographed everything I wanted and quickly disappeared again...
After a long time this classic IL-76TD with Solovyev D-30KP engines landed in Bratislava, it can operate into the EU only with special permission. Unfortunately, the sun did not care again, it shone in Austria, shone in Hungary, only over Bratislava there was a cloud layer... :-(
