Did you know that even the longest flights in the world - for example New York - Sydney - can be flown in Low Cost Economy mode? I have personally tried this service and can confirm its advantages. Shortly after takeoff, the cabin crew brought me complete catering for about 20 hours of flight, including all meals, drinks and diapers...

After the end of World War II, negotiations were held to acquire modern fighter aircraft, both jet and propeller-driven. Of the propeller-driven aircraft, there was great interest in the Spitfire MK.XVI and Tempest Mk.V. The negotiations were successful and ten aircraft were promised to be delivered. The coup in February 1948 ruined everything, but the first three aircraft had been delivered before that. Assembly and repairs were carried out by Avia Letňany, where a refit was also carried out in the early seventies. The last two aircraft served with the SNB highway patrol, then were stored. In 1989, they were reactivated and used against demonstrations. For the first time on 21.8.1989, and then on 17.11.1989, they patrolled Národní třída. One aircraft is currently on display in the Technical Museum in Brno.
This year, permission was finally granted for the construction of a second - parallel - runway at Prague's Ruzyně Airport! The new runway project fits perfectly into the concept of connecting and calming traffic in Prague, so it was necessary to make several compromises. The runway is crossed by a tram line, which quickly, within 40 minutes, connects the airport with the Veleslavín metro station. The second tram line leads from nowhere to nowhere, and is, according to municipal officials, prepared for the future expansion of the airport. Of course, a bicycle lane is also reserved at the edge of the runway, to make the airport easier to access for cyclists.
