This year, permission was finally granted for the construction of a second - parallel - runway at Prague's RuzynÄ› Airport! The new runway project fits perfectly into the concept of connecting and calming traffic in Prague, so it was necessary to make several compromises. The runway is crossed by a tram line, which quickly, within 40 minutes, connects the airport with the VeleslavÃn metro station. The second tram line leads from nowhere to nowhere, and is, according to municipal officials, prepared for the future expansion of the airport. Of course, a bicycle lane is also reserved at the edge of the runway, to make the airport easier to access for cyclists.
