The last of the trio of DC-3s that more-less regularly operate from Opa Locka these days, does not attract too much by its colours, however a white DC-3 is still better than all those boring Ryanairs and Wizz Airs...
I found this ERJ-170 among flights planned to Opa Locka, so we stopped there on our way to Miami. We expected an aircraft with remains of Aeromexico Connect colours, as there were no photos of it in the internet, however Embraer surprised us by being already painted in these full colours of Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club.
This DC-3 of Atlantic Air Cargo is a familiar sight in Opa Locka and I already photographed her 10 years ago, however to see a flying DC-3 in normal traffic is rare today. Together with others operates mainly with cargo to/from Bahamas..
At the end of 2021 I was finally able, after 21 months, to travel outside of Europe, although corona still complicated the whole spotting trip. One of the highlights of this very successful trip was this Convair C-131F Samaritan (military version of CV-340) of Conquest Air Cargo, operating with cargo from Opa Locka to the Caribbean.
