W/o November 21, 1980 at YAP as N18479 with Air Micronesia. Aircraft touched down short of runway. Right mlg separated, aircraft veered off runway and stopped in jungle area. Severe fire erupted - 0 fatalities.
17.11. It was moved 1 km of Ho Chi Minh airport and used as restaurant in 1985. Not in such use for a few years any more, mostly as a homeless shelter now. We can expect soon broken up...
Stripped to all metal and revealing the faded titles of its former operator, United African Airlines. The aircraft was first delivered to United as N8033U in 1960. Sold to Transports Aeriens Centraficains as TL-AHI in 1979. Became 5A-DGK with United African and later on Jamahiria Air Transport. Broken up at Luxembourg in 1985. Only the forward fuselage section survived and was put on display at Frankfurt airport. Moved to Griesheim airfield 03/2006.
