Not so. Every airliner (at least Soviet) has 3 limiting numbers:
- number of landings (in English "number of cycles")
- number of hours it has flew
- number of years it served (age)

and OKB (in this case Ilyushin) guarantee safe service only when ALL THREE aren't exceeded -- i.e. if you have plane with low total flying hours but older than "guarantee age" it will be write-off
