Norwegian Air Shuttle has entered into a Letter of Intent to lease two new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners from ILFC. The lease term for both aircraft is 12 years, the delivery expected at the end of 2012. One of the Let 410 prototypes and the oldest of this aircraft in service crashed in Democratic Republic of Congo on 21.10.2010. C/n X0101 32 years old aircraft was lost in the hills terrain around the airport of departure (on Tracep cargo Bukavu - Shabunda flight). The 9Q-CUA registered L410 was the most known as OK-IYA by Aeronautical Research and Test Institute Prague (1981-2003), sold to Africa then.
