The Cluj to Prague route by Tarom will close after almost a year of service. The Romanian ATR42-500's last flight as RO 223/4 will take part on 14.07.2014, all the following Monday and Friday flights have been cancelled. Alternative route via Bucharest will be offered to the passengers. The load factor of the flights was not satisfactory enough.
MoreA memorial to commemorate the 2,500 Czech R.A.F. members has been unveiled in the center of Prague. The Winged Lion, funded by the expats community in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has seen a ceremony with R.A.F. veterans, Nicholas Soames, British MP and a grandson of Winston Churchill, among others, finished by a low pass by a Spitfire, one of the most significant planes of the Battle of Britain.
MoreTravel Service has added a leasing of a SpiceJet Boeing 737-800 to the fleet plans for this summer. VT-SPQ, manufactured in 2007, should arrive to Prague within a next week. This leasing follows the proven relationship started by a lease of four B737-800s from SpiceJet last year.
MoreThe Spanish airline Vueling adds its third regular route to Prague, to start on October 24th. An Airbus A320 is expected to fly from Brussels 4 times a week, joining the Barcelona and Rome flights by Vueling. Flights between 24.10. and 02.11.2014 can be booked at the moment, while the possible winter flight times are being prepared.

The recently opened Voronezh-Prague route is being discontinued by RusLine shortly. The last flight is scheduled for June 14th and all the Wednesday and Saturday flights after that date have been canceled.

The Russian RusLine started to offer tickets for its new Voronezh-Prague route, planned to be in operation regularly on Wednesdays and Saturdays since April 30th. The 7R 5509/5510 flights on a Canadair CRJ-200 shall depart Voronezh at 12:00 local time and return at 19:00, serving the Prague-Ruzyne airport between 13:00 and 14:00 LT (on May 7th, the Prague times are planned for 08:50/13:00). MoreCSA Czech Airlines announced withdrawal from their Berlin and Zurich routes. The last flight is planned for June 20th to the former and for June 9th for the latter.
MoreCSA Czech Airlines are acquiring an Airbus A320-216 (to be registered OK-NES during the first half of the year). The plane was manufactured in 2008 as c/n 3448 and currently flies with the Malaysian AirAsia (9M-AHI). On the other hand, the ATR72-212A registered F-GRPK is expected to return from lease with CSA to Air Corsica end June.
MoreThe Swedish regional airline Malmö Aviation is not expected to offer its regular Umea - Prague charters this year. An Avro RJ-100 could have been seen on the route twice a week during April and May 2013. Malmö Aviation flights from the north-eastern Umea to Berlin-Tegel are expected to fly from 18.04. till 11.05.2014, with the same frequency.
