The investments into both production environment and into the Let 410 aircraft itself allowed Aircraft Industries to find new markets. Two new L410UVP-E20 will be delivered to the Nepalese Goma Air. Conducting flight tests at Nepalese airports was one of the conditions for entering this market. The Aircraft Industries experts and the Nepalese Civil Aviation Authority team have conducted the test flights at the Jomson airport (2783 m above the sea level, runway length 745 m) and also successfully landed and took off from Lukla, one of the world's most challenging airports (see video here). The tests have been evaluated as successful and the aircraft got a CAAN airworthiness certificate, allowing it to carry passengers in Nepal. The success was supported by adding a new engine option this year, allowing landings and take-offs on high altitude airports in the STOL category. Such airports are quite frequent in Nepal and the two L410UVP-E20s present the first contract on this market after 40 years.
