easyJet to close another route from Prague

It seems that the British low-cost carrier's operations in Prague have already reached their peak and are now entering a downward trajectory. After ending the Prague - Palma de Mallorca route, it is now coming to further cuts. easyJet will stop flying to the capital of Portugal.

easyJet introduced the Prague - Lisbon route as a new one in the summer flight schedule in 2023. The year-round connection was a success and gained a firm position in the flight schedule. This has now been shaken, the last flight will take place on Wednesday, October 21.

The current schedule of easyJet destinations from Prague with direct flights in summer 2026 offers the following: Alicante, Amsterdam, Basel, Belfast, Birmingham, Bordeaux, Bristol, Edinburgh, Geneva, Glasgow, Lisbon, Liverpool, London (Gatwick and Luton), Lyon, Manchester, Milan (Malpensa), Nantes, Naples, Nice, Porto. A total of 21 destinations.

Flights from Prague to Lisbon are naturally offered by TAP Air Portugal, which has so far competed with easyJet and before that, CSA Czech Airlines. However, the Portuguese will not get rid of the competition, it will even come from a Czech company again.

Lisbon is a new addition to the Smartwings network, which will be added from the winter flight schedule 2026/2027. The first flight is scheduled to take place on October 23. Just two days after the British carrier vacates the field. Smartwings will offer three flights a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
