  • G-ARVF is the oldest VC-10 in the world. First flight 6.7.1963, delivered to BOAC on 4.9.1964. After retired from BOAC, sold to United Arab Emirates 24.7.1974 for 690 000 GBP. After withdrawal in 1981, ferry to Saarbrücken-Ensheim, dismantled and taken by road to Hermeskeil museum where it is preserved on indefinite loan from the UAE.

  • G-ARVM is last built "standard" VC-10 for BOAC, mainly used as training aircraft. Ferried to RAF Cosford for preservation after retired on 22.10.1979. Affected by changes in RAF Cosford, when civil aircraft were moved to different places. Future museum size limitation and lack of money to secure in good condition cause current stage.
