The winter timetable 2018-2019 of the Timisoara Regional Airport offers domestic connections to Bucharest and Iasi by Tarom and to Bucharest by Ryanair. Lufthansa flies to Timisoara from Frankfurt and Munich. Wizzair operates flights to Brussels-Charleroi, London-Luton, Barcelona, Paris-Beauvais, Valencia, Dortmund, Bari, Bergamo, Tel-Aviv, Bologna, Roma-Ciampino, Memmingen, Madrid, Treviso and Frankfurt-Hahn. On top of this Ryanair flies to Bergamo and Tarom to Chisinau and Stuttgart.
The current capacity of the Domestic Terminal A (on the left) and the International Terminal B (in the middle) is insufficient. Therefore, a new terminal is being constructed (to the right from Terminal B).
The end of the old terminal and control tower in BacÇŽu. The terminal is already pulled down, the tower followed the upcoming Thursday 13 September. The newly cleared area will be used for further parking places for the new terminal seen in the background.
TUI Airlines Belgium leased this Airbus 320 from Orange2fly for the last summer season. The photo was taken shortly before the plane was returned. TUI logos are already removed.
This plane was delivered to Swissair in August 1999. Afterwards it was operated by Swiss International Airlines and Edelweis Air, before taken over by Brussels Airlines in January 2017. On the other hand, the original Sabena OO-SFT (Ser. No. 322), delivered in February 2000, went through Lufthansa, Swiss and Air Berlin to Virgin Atlantic Airways (G-VLNM).
Although Brussels Airlines declares 3-4 Sukhois in operation, in fact all 7 aircraft available from City Jet have flown for them, including the oldest EI-FWA.
