The first aircraft of SAS Link comes from the inventory of the original collapsed Flybe. Delivered in November 2007 and stored in October 2019, SAS Link obtained this Embraer 195LR on 6 April 2022.
The Spitfire XVI differed from Mk IX by the engine used. It was powered by the US licence-built Packard Merlin 266. Later production examples featured a cut-down rear fuselage with a sliding bubble canopy in order to improve the pilots´ view.
The somewhat unusual registration of this 20-year-old Brussels Airlines Airbus 320 indicates that this airplane is one of the two aircraft transferred from the Belgian Thomas Cook Airlines.
