SmartWings, the Travel Service subsidiary for regular flights, plans to open daily flights from Prague to Moscow and London since spring 2015. The Moscow flights (to the Domodedovo airport) are planned based on the new agreement between the Czech and Russian aviation authorities. Stansted and Gatwick airports are the candidate destinations for the London flights.

Jet2 of Great Britain has started ticket sales for their new routes - Prague-Belfast and Prague-Glasgow. The regular connection to Belfast will be operated since April 3rd, 2015 (on Mondays and Fridays), Glasgow should start on May 21st, 2015 (on Thursdays and Sundays).

Transavia has completely cut the flights on the Rotterdam-Prague route for the period since 03.07. till 01.09. The first flight is planned for September 2nd and the flights will contintue 5 times a week - daily except Monday and Saturday - with a Boeing 737-700 or -800. Transavia prefer using their aircraft for additional holiday flights between the Netherlands and Mediterranean during summer.

The three weekly Wizz Air flights on the Prague-Tel Aviv route, introduced on March 31, did not bring the expected success. The low-cost carrier decided to stop ticket sales and cancel all Monday and Friday flights after August 29th, 2014. The Wednesday flights have been cancelled since July 30th.

CSA Czech Airlines have announced today that they are going to offer new flights to Gothenburg since September 15th, tickets to be offered later on today. Ural Airlines decided to cancel their regular Saturday flights on the Chelyabinsk-Prague-Chelyabinsk route at the end of month. The flights have started on April 5th, but never achieved high-enough returns to allow further operations.

The Cluj to Prague route by Tarom will close after almost a year of service. The Romanian ATR42-500's last flight as RO 223/4 will take part on 14.07.2014, all the following Monday and Friday flights have been cancelled. Alternative route via Bucharest will be offered to the passengers. The load factor of the flights was not satisfactory enough.

A memorial to commemorate the 2,500 Czech R.A.F. members has been unveiled in the center of Prague. The Winged Lion, funded by the expats community in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has seen a ceremony with R.A.F. veterans, Nicholas Soames, British MP and a grandson of Winston Churchill, among others, finished by a low pass by a Spitfire, one of the most significant planes of the Battle of Britain.

Travel Service has added a leasing of a SpiceJet Boeing 737-800 to the fleet plans for this summer. VT-SPQ, manufactured in 2007, should arrive to Prague within a next week. This leasing follows the proven relationship started by a lease of four B737-800s from SpiceJet last year.
