This DC-3 of Atlantic Air Cargo is a familiar sight in Opa Locka and I already photographed her 10 years ago, however to see a flying DC-3 in normal traffic is rare today. Together with others operates mainly with cargo to/from Bahamas..
For decades, this DC-3 has served local communities in Newfoundland and Labrador, most recently under Air Labrador. It was decommissioned in 1988 and the airlines dedicated it to the town of Grace Harbor, where it recalls the importance of local airports for the development of aviation and especially transatlantic flights.
