18.01.2015 16:00 | Transaero to become the fourth airline on the Prague-Moscow route

Transaero of Russia has used the option to become the second Russian airline on the Moscow-Prague route. The flights will be started immediately after the current market regulation is lifted, on March 29th, 2015. The daily flights with a Boeing 737-700 will fly at the following times: Moscow 12:00 - Prague 14:00/15:00 - Moscow 18:50. Unlike the three competitors (Aeroflot, SmartWings and CSA) Transaero is going to use the Vnukovo airport in Moscow. The one-way ticket is offered for RUB 8,162 (CZK 3,020) on their web, return ticket for RUB 14,795 (CZK 5,475).

17.01.2015 23:00 | New SmartWings flights to Sheremetyevo

Travel Service started to offer tickets for their Moscow flights announced earlier (in September 2014). Sheremetyevo was chosen as the destination airport in the end, in a direct comeptition with Aeroflot and CSA. The return tickets are currently available for slightly under CZK 6,000, a one-way ticket costs some CZK 3,000. A Boeing 737-800 is going to commence the QS1198/9 flights on March 29th, 2015, flying daily at 10:50 from Prague, staying in Moscow between 14:30 and 15:20 and returning to Prague at 17:10 (all times local).

08.01.2015 23:55 | New Travel Service London timetable announced

SmartWings - the Travel Service trade mark for scheduled flights - offered first tickets for their new London service announced here in September 2014. A Boeing 737 will head to Gatwick every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, starting from 02.04.2015. The QS1096 departs Prague at 19:10 on Mondays, at 12:40 on Thursdays and Fridays and at 20:00 on Sundays. The return flight (QS1097) departs LGW at 20:50 on Mondays, at 14:20 on Thursdays and Fridays and at 22:00 on Sundays. The usual one-way ticket price is around CZK 2500 now.

The planes.cz site continues in the work shown in both hardcopy and net-based publications by the Czech Aviation Photographers Club. The site became completely different beast after more than decade of its existence, measured both by visitor numbers and information value; however it is still prepared by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.
